Going on a hunt for the fall opener and have a few questions

Do any of you freeze and take the meat on the plane?

I don't have the funds to get anything other than a euro mount, have any of you mailed yourself the head?

If any of you have any tips or tricks that you would share it would be really appreciated

    Thanks

We freeze a 50 lb. wetlock box full of vacuum sealed meat and check it as baggage without any problem.

Make sure your head is wrapped and sealed well so that it doesn't ooze. You shouldn't have any trouble shipping it as long as you can find a box big enough.

We took our kills to a local processor and he shipped it to us (New Mexico to Maryland) its just way easier than finding dry ice, boxes, foodsaver, ect, while on your trip. We did the same with the heads. (local taxi recommended by the outfitter) I know you said funds were tight, so you've got to do what you've got to do, but seeing how many times airlines have lost my luggage, I didnt want to take that chance.
