A friend of my dad's has a trailer for sale that I'm interested in, I wanted to get your opinions on price. It's a standard steel 14ft trailer (wood floor), with dual axle and steel gate. It's been used very little, he want's $1250 for it. Does that sound like a good deal?

I'd think that's pretty fair as long as it's in good condition. A 10 foot wood bedded single axle at TSC runs 1400 or so. It sounds like something that I would like to have to haul wood.

I've got a 10 ft tilt trailer, but I'd like to have something I can load my RZR and another ATV sideways.

Brandon... I made trailer from a boat trailer... final measure was 12ft. 9in. That was with a single axle boat trailer... Came from a guy my Grandfather knows who gives them away for free...

    Metal Work---- $350
    Pressure Treated Lumber----$100
    Rustoleum-----$25

    Total Cost $475
Total trailor empty weight---- 1,000lbs on the money.
    3,000lbs axle

Don't know if you could look into somthing like that or not....

14 ft tandem axle sounds like a husky trailer. One built for hauling a skid steer probly. If you need the payload I say go for it. With out seeing pics I would guess it has 3500 lb axles with brakes. Probly way over kill for a hunter. It is going to tow hard and ride rough. If you are after a trailer for hauling a atv or other small loads I would find something lighter. One that can be moved by hand or even hooked up behind the atv if needed.
