    Trailcam Firmware
Ive heard things that companies put out Firmware to fix some of the cameras problems. Is this only built in to the newer cameras, or is this something you can download onto your camera? The reason I ask is I have the 2014 Bushnell HD max aggressor and It take absolutely horrible night pictures. All my bushnells in the past havent given me this trouble, Is this something that can be fixed by removing the hexagonal cover on it? If you look it up, they come with his removable grid that is supposed to reduce glare. I dont know if this is what is causing my night picture problems or not, but it is sure something to try. Back to the Firmware thing, could it be this is old firmware, and can I download it? Any feedback at all is appreciated.

The instructions to update the firmware are here:

Bushnell - Trophy Cam Software Update

It more than likely is not the problem but a good place to start. I say this because I imagine the first step support is going to ask you to do is update the firmware. Its pretty easy for the most part if you know a little about computers.

I pull my cameras once a year in January to clean them up and update the firmware. Lets us know how you fair.

The thing that causes bad pictures at night is the lack of light, the quality of the camera itself, and the IR sensors and/or IR intensifiers. The best camera is only as good as it's IR system at night.

You can have the best camera on the planet, at night, if the IR system that's connected to the camera is mediocre, you're going to have crap pics.

What batteries are you using? Try changing the batteries out to something like an Energizer Lithium and see if that changes anything. I've had some issues w. poor night quality pictures when I was using low end batteries.

I am using energizer lithiums as well. Isnt the IR system the motion sensor on the front? You said that like you can switch the IR? I guess my real question to you was what do you mean IR?
