If you left your car parked in a public parking lot where everyone could see it would expect it to be there when you came back? In my mind there is no differance.

glad you are taking it back...hope he hasnt already found it missing and gave up on it. Hope you learned a lesson but more importantly, I hope you share your lesson with everyone you can. This needs to stop. Hunters need to stick together, not back stab each other. I dont care if the person put a cam and stand in your favorite honey hole, public land is open to the public and to hunt there we all need to play nice. NO MORE STEELING FROM YOUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS!!!! Not just the OP, anyone who is reading this!!!!!!

Gonna bring it right back....decided I`d google if its right or not.... Its public land!!!For everybody to use! and u decided u should take the camera because its in "plain view"? U know how many upstanding hunters probably walked by that camera all through hunting season without putting their filthy paws all over it? I`m sure I`m speaking for many other people on this forum but... we all work our a**es off to buy our equipment, bring our wives and nieces and nefews and friends kids out to hunt to show them how much more fun it is to hunt than to STEAL....but theres still people out there like u ! Yea... u really did him a favor by turning his 150$ camera on for him

Slugger, your last sentence creeped me out a little bit. Please don't elaborate on exactly what you do.....and please don't do it in front of my cameras!

Do you hit on everyone's wives and girlfriends too?
"Just because they were there and all alone."

    You're a real treasure.

Well, there are no viable excuses to justify your actions. I hope you learned a lesson. Just know, no one on here is gonna pat you on the back and tell you you're a good guy by putting it back... It makes no difference, other than he/she gets their camera back.

I think you should work on the way you're brain processes things when you see them. If you see something cool and your first thought is to steal it, and not make you work/save to earn it. There's something very wrong and warped in your mind.

I will pray for you and hope that you get the help you need.

    Good day.

Okay okay okay okay... I get it, I made a mistake, I'll go that far to admit. But you all DON'T act like when you saw something as young, that you didn't second guess on taking at the time. Yeah, I'll admit I did something wrong and I understand that. BUT you guys can't act like you've been angels on earth all your childhood and life in general. I'm sure he is just MISSING his $70 (looked it up) trail cam that he didn't even have on.... SINCE THE 18th!! I did wrong but I followed up with what was right.... Just please don't lie to yourself and pretend you didn't go through a incident like this before....

I have a feeling that this isn't the first or the last time that you take something that doesn't belong to you.

Don't lie to yourself and act like it was no big deal because you think everyone else is a thief like you. If you did what was "right" you wouldn't have to return anything and come on a internet forum and attempt to justify this.

You did the right thing by taking it back. We've all done stupid stuff before. Glad your conscience kicked in and you made it right.
