I am curious as to what brand of trail camera's everyone is using, if you have more than one brand, choose the one you are most happy with. I have a couple of the Cuddeback's Please feel free to add comments as to why you prefer it over another..
I have a Reconyx RC60... as to why I prefer it... battery life, trigger speed, and reliability are un-matched from any other unit I have owned (which has been alot). If I had to do it over, I might have went with the RC55 as I believe the night photo quality is a little better. The only true downside of the unit is its price.
It is alot of money to swallow, I would say the biggest factor for anybody looking at the Reconyx line-up is in security. If you have a property in which you are confident that your camera won't disappear from, I think that they are well worth the money. I wouldn't recommend them to somebody who is going to be setting them up on public land or in high pressure areas where there is a strong chance of somebody stealing it. The Reconyx will make up the money overtime due to its amazing battery life. I have had the Moultrie I-60, as well as a Cuddeback C3000, and a Trail Mac Digital, not to mention the CamTrakker's, SwampGhost, Stealth Cams, Bushnells, and various other models of Cuddeback and Moultries that I have either owned or used and the Reconyx destroys them in battery life.
I own one Reconyx RC60 and 2 No Flash Cuddebacks. I like the Cuddebacks for there video's but I don't care for the red lights that go off (scares some deer). The RC60 Is a great camera, I just wish It had a video mode on It.
If you don't have the money for a Reconyx, or the willpower to sink that much in a trail cam, then I would recommend Covert as the next best. I am close to the company, know the owner and manager, they are great guys who put out a great (and IMO underpriced) unit. They offer quick trigger speed, thousands upon thousands of pics on 8 AA batteries (Not expensive C or D batteries) (I've been using same set off and on since March and have been past the 2000 pic mark for a while and STILL have 2/3 battery life showing on the meter), best night time pics of units in their price range that I am aware of, tiny size making it easier to tuck away and hide or place in more unorthodox ways (electric fence post on soybean field edge for example, and the list goes on. They already put out a great product, and I know of even better stuff cooking for in the future.
I have a few Moultrie's but don't have any place to put them this year. However I am hoping to change that next season and looking to get a few Reconyx.

That price gap is hard to justify...but I can think of about 12 things a $200 camera offers over the $170 one. Quality of pics is a big to some guys, and those real high end cams take awesome pics. All about what you want out of one I suppose.
I cannot stand blurry bad quality pictures for myself. If I'm getting pictures taken I want them looking nice, just the way I am. Trigger speed Is the most Important thing though for me. A few of the pictures my brother and I have gotten off of our trail cams we've made 5x8's out of them to put In photo albums.
Ive had non-typical, Stealth, Moultrie and Cuddeback. I would have to say the Cuddeback is the best brand that i have ever used. Cuddeback Capture: Stealth Cam I590: Stealth Cam I550: Stealth Cam I450: Moultrie 4.1 Cabelas Edition:
stealth cam sniper pro for me for me....works great so far night time pics good be a touch better but day time pics awesome!!
Moultrie IR 4.0, $179, decent quality, batteries have been in for 8 1/2 months right now...I figure that alone has almost paid for the camera over my last one...probably close to 1500 pics in that time. I would buy another.
