So due to having to purchase several items this year for hunting I had to go with a cheaper model game camera. I purchased a Wildview digital game camera. It works well enough, but my question is I have heard many people say that due to the fact that it uses a flash it will spook the deer and they won't return. Can anyone substantiate this? I just want to know if the stand I'm going to be using is now going to be worthless to me.
Flash will spook some deer. IR will spook some deer. Trigger noise will spook all deer ! I use flash cameras and have no worries about doing so :D
It may spook em but what doesn't! It seems like they hear it and see some cams and ignore or don't see others. Either way the only difference is a picture of a buck grazing or a buck staring into the camera. hahaha
This is a very true statement. They are individules and they all react differently. I've even seen them stand and stare at the camera in the daytime when there is no flash taking place. If you use some sort of bait or attractant, they will usually become focused on that and forget about the camera. Blessings......Pastorjim
