My Moultrie camera has worked great until this lens(?) developed a crack in it. Day time pictures are fine... pictures at night are completely black. Guessing this cover is needed for IR detection or something along those lines. What is this part called? And where can I get a replacement for it? Thanks in advance for your help!! IMG_6187.jpg

I imagine it's some sort of lens. It looks like it got hit pretty hard to crack like it did. I'd be surprised if you can purchase a replacement part for it, they want you to buy a new one.

I have contacted Moultrie via email for support... I’ve read 2 very distinct and different versions of how support will go, 1) buy a new camera 2) send it in and we will fix it for a fee. I thought I would see what my other options are. So far I don’t have much to go on... no offense but not the feedback/information I was after so far.

I had a friend that had to send his camera back and they ended up sending him a new camera plus sent his old one back as well. The only way they would work with him was if he sent his camera in. I personally haven't had that problem yet.
