Well I did something we all dread. Went in today with my father to check our deer cameras. They been in for about 6 weeks and decided to see what was on them. The first camera had a few pics of a doe and calf and some small bucks but the big boy is a now show as of yet. Went to the next camera that usually gets most of the pictures and found out that I forgot to turn it on 6 weeks ago. How could I have done it I don't know but it is on now. The battery life still at 100%. Batteries will last longer this way. lol
Anyone else ever forget to turn on their camera on?

I did it about 3 weeks ago and checked it the other day while working on a stand. So disappointing

Not as bad as it could have been. Had it happened in the second half of October now that would be true angst.

Yessir! It will happen to all trail camera users sooner or later.

Right up there with thinking you can stretch a couple more days on the batteries only to see they died about the next day after you swapped cards.

Just checked one of my cameras yesterday that had been out for just under four weeks. I had 1228 photos of a branch with leaves, that's it. The SIM card was maxed out 6 days after I set it out.

Yep, I've done that. One time I hiked in over a mile and set up two cameras and when I got back to my truck it dawned on me that I forgot to turn on the last (furthest) camera. So after a drink of water and a little rest I made the trek back in only to find out I DID turn it on. So frustrating!

That is the worse! I have gotten in the habit of making my camera take 2 pics so I know it's working then closing the camera! It has saved me a couple times.
