There are so many things that can go wrong when running trail cameras. I made 2 of the biggest mistakes on 2 great spots. On the first I some how put the SD card in the wrong bag and then put it in another camera and formatted the card before I ever saw a single pic :bash: The other I did not push the switch all the way to from set up to on :bash: These were in great spots where I was expecting to see big bucks. There are so many things that can go wrong with running cameras that we can not control like camera malfuction, bad SD cards, batteries dying and animals messing with them, that it is important not to rush and mess it up ourselves. So hopefully every one will take a little extra time changing cards and making sure the cameras are turned on properly so you dont feel like a dumb *** like I do right now :(

A few times a year i forget to turn one on or put in sd cards. last year I wasn't aware my camera could save to itself and i figured that out after deer season only to see a monster on camera. Had there been an sd card in I would have seen it and hunted that location!

Like has been said, the key is not to rush, that's when mistakes happen, of which I have made them all. If you think it's easy to make mistakes with commercial cams try running about 15 homebrews. Now there's really potential for disaster.

    Blessings........Pastorjim

Wait til y'all turn the camera on, do everything right... Come back only to find you had the "LOCK" switch flipped up on the SD card.. It will ot allow you to store any photos on the card !!! Make sure the card is in the "UNLOCK" position on the SD card.. LOL>.
