trail camera location

    if you only had one trail camera where would you put it? ive had mine on my mineral site and been getting alot of videos but in the respect to scouting should i move it around looking for different areas that the deer use?

    I only had one cam up until last year and I moved it around every time I checked the pics. It was a older wildview cam so the batteries didn't last long anyway but if I found a decent spot I would leave it up a little longer before moving it. Most the time it was only about 2 weeks in a spot. Would say its beneficial to move it around though.

    Buy more cameras.

    But a mineral site is good for inventory.

    hard question as most of us here are trail cam addicts haha.

    But If I had one camera and legal to bait/use minerals. I would for sure have that camera on the mineral spot in July/August to get a idea of the size of the bucks in the area. End of summer maybe a water hole/pond or get creative and dig a hole and put a rubber maid bin in it and keep it full. Then fall for sure have it over the most active scrape on the place.

    another place would be a heavily used trail between bedding and feeding areas. Scoot

    One camera?

    Mine would be on my water crossing funnel.
