I received a trail cam for a Christmas gift last year.....it is wildgame innovation 1.3 flash camera....It takes 4 c batteries and I had it out for 2 weeks and I only had 29 pictures on it and the battery was dead...Anyone know why this is?

It is defective - very common with those model cams. They don't have the greatest battery life to begin with but that is a bit extreme. Send it back soonest possible - hope you have warranty coverage...

I have one of them cameras. I use the cheap rayovac batteries and it has taken over 200 picture still shows to have half life left in the batteries.

Because that camera is not good, i have one and when that was the only cam i ran i could have bought many good cameras for what i paid in batteries.

See if you can get an upgrade for minimal cost...they do have decent customer service and should do that for you(maybe ask for the W4X...should only cost another 30-40$ I'd think with much better performance -usually)- the worst camera I have for battery life is a primos tc35(uses 4 Ds) and second worst is a WGI N6(uses 4 Cs)....both of these cams should/will take over a thousand pics on a set of batteries....my Covert Edge will take over 2000 pics on 6 AAs and the WGI W6X uses 8 AAs and will do the same(I'd say the total for either of these 2 cams is up around 3000 though) - at last check of the Edge had taken a minimum of 1000 pics and was reading batts at 73%(cheap rayovacs). I change them when it gets down to 30% as the flash gets dim.

I upgraded to the N6 from the N4 when the N4 still had white-out/transition issues and they had fixed the firmware problem on the N6...only cost the difference in price. I did this at the retailer(as I was instructed to do by the WGI rep). I also upgraded a N6 to a W6X at the same place. If you have a reciept they should honor the warranty - and have done so for others when they forgot to register the camera. I'd think just call the toll-free number and see what they say. BTW my N6 just went in for a replacement that is on its way here with no hassle at all.
