I have a cuddeback capture ir and an old bushnell. Theyve always worked till this year when they both died and wont turn on. Ive tried new batteries with no luck. Could a bad sd card do this? I used the same card when the issues started. The cuddeback is totally unresoonsive and the bushnell turns on and lets me put in my password then dies immediately. I couldn't find my other cards but could this happen?

Check inside the battery compartment for corrosion from the batteries. I have a Moultrie M80 that quite working and when I did some inspection, I found some of the blueish corrosion on the battery contacts. My guess is that I had a bad battery that caused it and ruined my camera. I need to contact Moultrie and see if they can fix it. I had one quit working this spring, sent it back and thy sent me a replacement free of charge. Out of warranty too.

Step 1: Throw them both in the trash
Step 2: Order a Covert. (which reminds me I have an order to place... Thanks!)

Seriously though..... hard to say what caused it but I doubt the SD is to blame. Didn't get dropped or anything??? Just a thought?

My Bushnell did the same thing one time and it was the SD card. Not sayin that's the problem but it's worth a try.

    Blessings..........Pastorjim

I have had a problem with one of my older Bushnell cams that will only take a certain brand of SD card. The screen would go blank if I put in one that I didn't like, so maybe try a different SD card.
