So this year I acquired 20 acres of property in Northern Michigan. I got a late start on this piece of property. I went and scouted and placed a cam august 12th and just pulled it on the 2nd. I have over 700 photos. Not 1 buck showed up, however I have a variety of Does. I did place some mock Scrapes the last visit.
Anyone else have this happen, also did you see bucks show up from September on?

Do not fret the bucks will come. Easier to pattern does as well.

Agreed, I get mostly does until October then the big guys start to show themselves. Soybeans are starting to go yellow around here and the velvet will be coming off soon. Patterns will be changing in the next few weeks.

Tell you what at this point of the year I would rather have a bunch of does on camera rather than bucks. Chances are the does will stick around, bucks you know are going to disperse and leave the area.

That what I was figuring, however I would have thought I would have seen at least a spike or buttons or forks .

I'd rather have all does on camera than bachelor pack of bucks, considering it's only 20 acres. Bachelor groups will split up & follow the does. Your in good shape. Just don't over hunt it & wait until the wind is in your favor to hunt.

Its always more fun to get pictures of big bucks but nearly all of my pictures are doe or young bucks. I'm not expecting to see any shooters during daylight until the end of October. Any sooner is a bonus.

Bucks follow the does, sounds like a good spot.

definitely just keep them does patterned and when one gets hot during the rut she hopefully can pull a buck through for you!

Had a private lease similar to this. Nothing better for good old natural buck bait than a bunch of does! Bucks will show up, especially as rut gets closer!

My property is on that pattern. For the last 5 years or so, I haven't had many bucks at all during the summer. They show up towards the end of September. I've leaned not to sweat it. this year I had 5 cams out for 2 weeks, over a thousand pictures and only one spike buck the whole time.
3 of the last 4 years I've killed 3 bucks all scoring just shy of 150". So, there's hope for ya!

Don't sweat it. Bucks will come. Nothing better than does in an area to draw bucks. Food patterns change and they move. The farm I'm on this year has rotated fields and my bucks in one area aren't there. They will be back once the corn is down. They are out there.

I have a second property that gets does all summer then in fall the bucks show up once they know they are being hunted. It's real thick and they sneak in to hide.

    Give it time.

I have the exact same thing going on. Nothing to worry about. As others have stated, where there are does there will be bucks.
