Here are some pics I've gotten on my trail Cam in the last week in the area I'll be hunting this fall. I haven't been too active on the forum due to work and recently moving to a different part of PA (just got my cam out last Weekend as well!). This new hunting area I'll be hunting this fall is all new to me and so far I really like what I've been seeing when it comes to the quality of deer and deer population. Don't pay any attention to the dates on the photos, I got a new cam and forgot all about changing the date and time on it before setting it. The times on the photos are pretty close to being 5 hours ahead of the actual time of day the photos were taken and the month and year are way off, but as you can see the buck are still in velvet so obviously the photos weren't taken in February lol. Sorry I could only get the photos to work by posting the links.. I tried to open by URL and it said files were too large and if I tried loading them off the computer it would sign me out every time.. Thanks Covey, long time no talk! How's everything going with you? You still pretty busy with the farming?
Yeah busy as ever between farming and running bulldozers and managing the ranch. Our weather made it a crazy year this year to try to deal with everything. Things are finally kind of coming together finally, crops are stupid late but the deer look great this year.
I was living in Canton, but just moved this summer to Orangeville in Columbia County (due to getting a new job) which is about 10 miles outside of Bloomsburg and right next to Benton.
Yeah I hear you, been a crazy year for me as well, made a lot of changes in my life but they seem to have all been for the good. I knew you'd been having a hell of time keeping up with everything, great to hear things are coming together for you. And yes the deer are looking real good this year, I have all new stomping grounds, although my old stomping grounds I'm sure are great as usual I feel I'll enjoy it here just as much.
Sounds like you're in a good place, glad to hear it! I'll have to get back on the whiteout site and teamspeak here one of these days so we can catch up.
Yeah I haven't been active on there for damn near 4 months.. I think I've only been on Teamspeak once in the past 4 months and played the hunter once as a free member lol.. I just don't have the time anymore, but i still check in to WhiteOut often, but that's about it. But maybe one of these weekends when we both have time in our busy lives we can catch up..
Haha, yeah I let my subscription to the hunter run out a long while back, I don't even know what changes have been made to it since early spring. I plan on taking up a lot of any free time I get this fall hitting the deer stands and I have educational seminars to go to this fall and winter working up to incorporating some cattle into the ranch and I have to get through harvest yet this fall and wheat planting. I need to hire a hand or two I think, lol.
Thanks! All these buck look to be 3 1/2 year olds to me.. I've seen 2 buck in this area (one spot lighting and the other driving) that dwarf the ones I've got on Cam so far, hoping I eventually get them on Cam.. I have 2 other cams set that I haven't checked yet as well.. I'll keep posting new ones as I get more.
Hopefully this weekend when I get time to check my Cams again, I'll get some pictures of some new buck... I checked one of my Cams yesterday and had nothing but a bunch of small buck and a bunch of doe and still have one Cam I haven't checked yet, hopefully that's the honey hole where the bruiser is hanging out.
