I know that to be a good bow hunter u have to get closer to that deer of a life time. How do yal put yals cameras out? Where i live its really brushy and has little openings every once in a while. Should i walk down the trails of the deer that i find or choose my own way? I switch it up but people on here might no a little bit more about it. How do yal do it and am i doing it or something wrong?

I am no expert. First I would try to minimize human scent by making sure that I'm wearing rubber boots and rubber gloves. Some use products like Scentaway to spray down themselves. I don't go that far when just hanging a camera or scouting.

Secondly, I would try and stay off the game trails, again to minimize human scent contamination. It's ok to follow them, just do so a few steps either side of the trail.

As far where to place your camera. Look for an open area. I know you said it's brushy, but focus on placing the camera looking the whole length of the trail. If you do this the game (deer) will be in view for a longer amount of time. Check the "how to videos" under the videos icon at the top of the page and I think there is a video on trail camera's if I'm not mistaken.

Hope this all makes sense and helps answer your question. I wouldn't say your doing anything wrong partner. Remember the old saying "there's more than one way to skin a cat". Hope this helps out partner.

Edited: I went back and checked under the "how to videos" and there are several on just what your asking. Watch em they are Great.

Once you become a total whitetail badass (like me), you'll just know where to put your camera. You're probably hopeless. I'd save the money on Energizers and just buy a handfull of scratch-off tickets.
