What should have been one of the happiest days of my daughters life (last day of high school) has turned into a tragedy. Her dance coach with whom she has spent 3-4 hours a day with for the last 4 years was shot and killed in her home last night. Rumors are flying around but as of what we know now,her husband was tazed and taken to a local hospital. Heard rumors but not for sure why he was tazed at this point. My daughter as well as the team is taking it hard so please keep them in your thoughts. Here is a pic of the coach with the team after they won nationals in March. She is the coach on the left. RIP Lewis
Very tragic event that will be carried with your daughter for her entire life. Our thoughts and prayers to everyone that was touched by this event.
That is just terrible. Thoughts and prayers go out to her family, friends and team. Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk 2

The husband is beginning to smell real bad! and a possible law suit against police for tazzing him in the eye. HENDERSON, Ky. (AP) -- Police in western Kentucky are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman who worked as a counselor in a middle school. Henderson police told The Gleaner that 39-year-old Michelle Lewis Cotter died early Tuesday after being shot inside the home she shared with her husband. The Messenger-Inquirer reported she was employed in Daviess County as a guidance counselor at College View Middle School and also worked as a dance instructor for Henderson County Public Schools. Henderson Police Sergeant. John Nevels said her husband, Steven Cotter, who serves as a soccer coach for Henderson County Public Schools, was injured when police took him into custody. Police say he threatened to kill himself before officers used their tasers on him. One of the taser prongs struck Steven in the eye. Sgt. Nevels said Steven Cotter has not been arrested. Nevels said Michelle Cotter's death is being investigated as a possible homicide.
I knew all this when I originally posted. Like I said. Lots of rumors at this point. But it still looks to be an accident. The police probably saved his life, its unfortunate one of the prongs hit him in the eye. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2
