I bought a recurve bow to try getting back into traditional archery. I has a wood riser, right hand and a bare shelf. It does have a threaded insert for an elevated rest but I want to stay on the shelf. I recall way back when seeing some feathers bunched together in an arch, on the shelf. I'm going to shoot feathers only on probably carbon shafts. What are some suggestions? Thanks. I'm 74 and going to start out light.
