    Exactly (why I was interested).

    Yep, Steve.....I don't see the point in bare shaft tuning......unless you're doing so with feathers applied.....IF you're looking for bullet holes.

    I don't look for perfectly straight impacting arrows when I bare shaft. Stands to reason, I wouldn't be looking for perfect bullet holes with bare shafts, paper tuning.

    Okay now it gets even crazier. Why would fletchings cause the tear to go from 10:00 to 12:00? I expected to see the exact opposite. (I repeated it several times to be sure it was precise/ no bad release.)
