Looking to build some heavy elk arrows and just looking for ideas from others who may have built some and found a direction other then normal school of thought. My recurve is 48# @29" so my school of thought is to go with 50-55 as I want to run 250 gr Grizzly single bevel up front. Will I need to run a longer fletching (5"?) possibly to help straighten out faster? Any thoughts? Anyone with that experience?
