Personally I would avoid the big box stores and find a local pro-shop. It's been my experience that I know twice as much as the dude behind the counter at Gander does... and that's scary!

May think about selling it outright also. A proshop will be the only place that may take it in and it won't be alot. What kind of bow you have?

Neither bass bro nor cabelas takes trade in. Not all pro shops do either. We do but none of the other 3 in the area do.

Check with your pro shop but you might find you'll be money ahead in just selling it outright. Depends on what your trading in and buying as to how much the shop will give you.

Tribal its a Martin Bow, left handed...i believe a 2006 model.

It was the first bow i purchased, not having an experience bow hunter with me, and not really testing any other bows.

Im just not happy with it, and want to get a new model.

Nothing wrong with it, and I put alot of extras on it

suppresor, fall way rest, limbsavors, viper sights..

Im just ready for something better, quiter and something ill be happier with..

xmass is right around the corner..so ill probably just get a bunch of cabelas or basspro shop gift cards and go out and get another..

I wont make the same mistake twice..i will definitly test and shoot alot of bows, thats for sure.

as the others said find a local shop that will take trade ins. they are also correct thought that you can get more if you sell it on your own. i traded in a bow once and basically got a half dozen arrows for it. i didn't need it and didn't know of anyone else that could use it so i took it. last time i was getting a new bow i sold my bow myself and made out alot better and helped a buddy get his first buck, good luck

Deerslayer- I live in Toledo and don't know of any pro shops that will buy used bows. I have an older Bear that I'm looking to get rid of and will probably try to sell it on Craigslist.

Best thing to do is to sell it outright. Use the classified section here and on any of the other bow related sites. A proshop is going to give you what some else will pay for it minus what they need to make it worth it to them (usually 30 - 50%).

I've got 2 backup hunting rigs, a backup target rig and 2 backup traditional rigs in addition to the primaries. How many bows does a man need?... Just one more!

That's what I'd do too. If you price it right on AT, it'll be gone within a couple days.
