Been considering trading my z7 in and getting a helim, but every place I call refuses to give me the trade in value of my bow which I understand to an extent I just need a ball park price?

It's the original z7 when it first came out with the SE5 limbs as far as I know everything is in perfect working order...ie no cracked limbs etc... Just curious if anyone was in the same spot as I am can let me know how much they got or perhaps someone with inside knowledge ?

    Thanks

Hello latoneout, Trade in value on used bows is just like cars or computers, you take it out the door and value has dropped 30%. Mathews is better than any other brand as far as holding their value but still its pretty bad. I am not sure what the shops have offered you but for that bow in mint condition if it was anything around or over 500 go back and take it. I assume you are going to buy the helim from which ever shop quoted you the trade in?

Like InnerX stated. Bows like cars depreciate fast.
Are you trying to sell the bare bow or one with extras?

Did you check the classifieds on this site?

I just visited a web site that is dedicated to the z7. You might check there. I saw one listed for $650.

As far as your bow, if it has the SE5 limbs, then it is a 2010 and the newer model, not the original year they came out. 2009 they had SE4 limbs, 2010 they had SE5's. By the way, as far as a Z7 for value, try to sell it out right and get the most you can, but don't think you will get more than 450 to 500 out of it.
