Tractorhouse is great place to find equipment for sale around you.

As for quality of Kubota attachements, just grease the bearings and if it's a rotary piece, rid the axles of weeds/roots wrapped around after ever use. It'll last you as long as the tractor will.

Tractorhouse is now in my favorites. I've mostly been looking on Craiglist...

Yes tractor house is good ****.

That's where I ended up with the package link i sent you. Just showing an example of what's out there. Obviously you wouldn't buy from SC.

I know HST robs you of power. But it would be best for my application yes?

If I had my time to do over again, I'd go with HST. Plowing is like 10% of what i use mine for, the clutch sucks when you are doing a ton of bucket work.

HST or HSD is definitely the way to go now days. Especially if you plan to mow around tighter areas. You'll have the option for a hand throttle too with the HST/HSD. That way you wont have to keep your foot glued to the floor for extended periods of time on long mows.

See these are all the things I haven't or maybe would have never thought about. The hand throttle seems like a must to me. That and maybe I can get my kid to mow... :)

I meant, I'm pretty sure it's standard, you wont have to add it. At least it is on our MF's.

I bought a Kubota last year and have been happy with it. Hydro is soooo nice and butter smooth. I run a tiller and a mower on it and it does great. Mines a 25hp, didn't get the loader but wished I had, it is 4x4. Cabs are incredible, take a day like today, that air is priceless.

It's colder than crap here most of the winter and we move snow for hours a day without a cab, you'll be fine! :tu:

I bought a JD 2305. With a 4' tiller, mower deck, ballast box and loader. It is awesome.

A 40 hp might be overkill for yard mowing. A heavy tractor with tractor tires will tear up a nice lawn if it's damp or on tight turns.

Also, get a fold-down ROP if you can. I did a few tractor wheelies from hitting a low, stout branch on our apple tree when mowing around it.

Ya roll over protection. It's a funny law... You can have the roll bar off only if you remove the seatbelt too.

It's a BX2670....just to be clear, my Kubota doesn't have a cab, my two older bigger IH tractors do (with heat and air). The big 2+2 in the background I paid around $15k for...the Kubota I paid $12.5K for...just as a comparison new vs old. I've had very little trouble with either one. The old IH isn't as new and nice to drive but it would pick the Kubota up with the three point hitch and not know it was there, lol. It also has Heat and air....advantages to buying new or used, either way.

Heckler, look in the background (to the mower deck, looks like it's in the air). That's a "batwing", if you want to mow your yard 3 times as fast - get it! :D

Just a joke, it would be over kill. But batwings are awesome tho!

Yes, that's a 2615 Bushhog 15' wing mower. They get it done.

Thanks CM! I think I would have a real hard time buying a BX series tractor at those prices. I think I would most likely go with a B series. I'm not sure this is practical to mow the yard due to their weight and I am sure not going to put turf tires on it. I'm going to speculate there isn't a all in one tractor and will most likely end up buying a bigger zero turn mower for work up around the house.

Love to have an L, its overkill and a PITA to trailer due to their size and weight. Plus not the best for the size for small food plots in tight spaces.

Yeah and my BX was on sale as a "last years model" type deal. It is already plumbed for the loader and it's made to accept a 52" PTO drive belly mower deck. It would be a beast of a machine with a mower deck on it. I bought a 72" finish mower with it for that price and it's a Land pride mower, works very well but it's a little much for the tractor so I added a factory weight kit to the tractor and it runs it ok. I mainly bought it as a tiller/garden machine.
