NO I did not shoot a deer. I am just wondering if there are any websites based around training a dog to being a good tracker??
Rob?? I keep thinking your dog is trained??

I dont have a dog right now but am thinking that whenever I do get one it will either run rabbits or blood trails??

And the first thing I'd do is also get John Jeanneney's book, Tracking Dogs for Finding Wounded Deer. He can be found on the UBT's website as well as http://www.born-to-track.com/john.htm

Also, it's (I) recommend anyone interested in finding a tracking dog or a tracker him/herself, to join the UBT. Great people and a state to state listing. I'm also a member and have been for years.

Thanks Rob.... I likely wont be buying a dog for another year or better, but I figure if I can learn from now til then it will not hurt!!

    I appreciate the help!!

ALSO: I wonder if there is a tape to John Jeanneneys book...because this ol'boy isnt a big fan of books!! Haha!!!!

You'll need nothing more than that book I recommended and access to some great minds on the UBT website.
