Great advice from everyone. I also agree that he is dead and sorry you did not find him. In time you will find him either tracking another deer or by shed hunting. Best of luck to you and I will say what a couple other have said, "It happens to a lot of us!" Live and learn from it and that is the only way you improve to the best you can be. My buck last year was one lung and liver shot. I jumped him but he only ran another 40 yards and bedded down again. I watched him get up and walk off. By the time I got to the other side of the river he was not far from where he bedded dead! I think kicking him up helped bleed him out.
