I use them. They work great. 100% of the time. The draw backs are you have to use a magnet and some people don't like that. Personally I don't care. You must put them into sleep mode before putting them away for the season or they will run out of batteries over the off season. They are also on sale right now at Cabelas.
Tracer Nocks by Easton Went into my local bow shop intent on buying Lumenocks but was sold on the Tracer Nocks. I like the idea of the nock light going on when the arrow is released. Took them home after the shop mounted the magnet and put in the nocks.I was shooting some arrow with the nocks to get a feel for how the arrows flew and I noticed the nocks where not coming on. I looked and saw that the double sided tape or velcro that held the magnet on was no longer on my bow. I was shooting in some tall grass so the magnet could be anywhere. Called up Easton and was told that they could not send me another magnet and that I should go to a kraft store to find another magnet. You can still get the nocks to light with another magnet but the idea is to have them go on when you shoot the arrow. I could not belive that customer services idea of helping me was to try and send me to a kraft or hobby store. I will have to buy another set to get the magnet. Should have just stuck with the idea of going in the shop to buy a set of Luminocks. Also the shop mounted the magnet on the riser and when I drew the arrow back the target point on the arrow would actually stick to the magnet. You really have to be careful where you mount this magnet. Once you found that sweet spot I would mount it with some super glue.
I'm thinkin about purchasing these as well....heres why...http://www.bowhunting.com/blog/post/Lighted-Nock-Challenge.aspx
Tracers worked great except 2 things 1 you need a magnet attached to your bow as a trigger. Which can also get stuck to your broadhead depending on the type of BH and location of the magnet. 2 the batteries seem to always break off after impact. Now Tracer did send me replacements for them but they still broke on first use. I do not believe you can replace the batteries on the nockternals either but they are light (lightest on the market today), pressure switch activated, extremely bright, easy to turn off, and have the longest running time of any of the ones I have tested.
Tracer Issues I had the tracers. The first 3 shots I broke all of them. I was at my local indoor range shooting into the typical spyderweb targets. Didnt hit the wall or anything, but when I pulled them out I heard a rattling in each arrow. Pulled my nock off and saw the resistor on each one had busted from the main unit on each. I called them and reported the issue and they sent new ones. I wasnt asking for anything free, but wanted to know if anyone else has had the same issue. I used a 2011 Bowtech Assassin. At 70lbs it's not the full stated 333fps, but it's from 29x- 303. The arrows were Easton Excel 400 with regular blazer vanes. I was scared to use them again. I didnt want to be negative about them, but I didnt have a good experience.
