That boat is junk. It should be able to handle a hit from a pansy, union made F150 and look better than that. Junk boat. Can you give me the brand name of that piece of crap so that I won't make the mistake of buying one? Junk.....

Well its clear now that no amount of opinions, suggestions, or support, from liberals or conservatives, can help the OP overcome his obvious deficit.

BTW Toyota Tundras are 75% American-made and Tacoma is 70% American-made. So what you are saying is that Americans make "junk"? Well I'm not going to sit here and let the OP bad-mouth the United States of America!

Those decoys must be some Chinese crap too! If they cant stand a little traffic, how the heck are they ever going to take the abuse of icy waters and strong winds. Please let us know the brand of those junk decoys. What a bunch of communist crap!

By the way, I drive a Ford now after trading off my Government Motors pickup, but I know of more Toyotas with 200K or 300K miles on them than any other brand. Solid, American made trucks for sure.

One hitch malfunction does not make for a junk brand. But those boats and decoys........mmmmm. Junk for sure.

I`ve had 2 tacomas, and just bought a new tundra a couple months ago. Never had a problem with any of them. My father has had a couple tundras and towed with them all the time with no issues. My guess is the hitch wasn't installed correcty, resulting in your misfortune. Due to the comments, its safe to say there are some details on what happened that have been left out. I just got home from a hunting trip which was 11 hours each way, in a Toyota with 250k on it , that hasn't had an oil change in years!

How did the trailer "push" you off in the grass?? I am thinking someone panicked and jerked the wheel but it is what it is. Sucks you wrecked and glad everyone is ok. BTW one failed hitch does not condemn an entire company. What do the mounting holes look like on the hitch and truck? It is more likely that it was installed wrong at the dealership as that is where most hitches are installed. I am not sure if any come from the factory that way or not. Merica!

My Tundra was made right here in Indiana. I'm guessing it is more American than a lot of the trucks the big three are rolling out these days.

Not possible as the bow of the boat hit the tailgate and the scars in the blacktop back that up. Look it up the WA state police report.

It happened Saturday morning on I5 in Kalama, WA.

....but I'm sure you know what happened since you weren't there. :busted:

There are three boats involved. The boat on the trailer is a 18' smokercraft sportsman built by alumaweld for smokercraft. The other two boats were plastic boats made by attbar. They are called aquapods.
