Hey guys, We wanted to test the new Toxic broadheads from Flying Arrow Archery on a boar's hide and compare it to a more traditional fixed-blade broadhead and a retractable broadhead. We shot each broadhead and compared the entry and exit wounds. We think the Toxic broadhead did the best followed by the fixed-blade broadhead. I've attached the video of our review that shows the damage each tip did so yall can decide for yourselves. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zeY0at9hMFA&list=UUXVF_owZeGtbXW_3AYeqfTA
Nice man! I've been thinking about giving these broadheads a try, but I'm a little worried about reshootablity. My G5 Montec CS have been used multiple times on deer and all I had to do was take a few min to sharpen them. Does the Toxic come with extra blades or do you have to buy those?
Yeah I would imagine trying to sharpen them would be tricky. You would have to buy extra blades. I'm interested to see how long they will stay sharp though.
A friend of mine killed a buck this year that had a toxic head stuck in his shoulder. It didn't penetrate well at all....granted it was a shoulder hit, but it barely penetrated the bone
I shot a doe two seasons ago at 17 yards with a Toxic. Granted it was a perfect shot through the lungs and center punched the heart, the blood trail was TERRIBLE! I watched her die in sight as she only went about 30 yards... I was less then impressed with the blood trail though.
