Fellas, if anyone has ever ran in one of these then you know how I am feeling today. I ran in one yesterday (Sunday) and I am feeling it today. But I am incredibly proud of myself and two of my best friends for completing it with no problems. I wore my GoPro HD2 the whole time and got some incredible first person videos. I'm wearing the orange headband for a week straight!!! If anyone wants to be challenged physically and mentally, and have a great time doing it, then I suggest trying one.

I'm working hard to get into shape now. I told a coworker I would do a few with them.
They're getting really popular, that's a good thing.

That looks cool... I think I might try one. How much swimming, climbing, running... etc...

The best part about it is the money they raise for the Wounded Warrior Project. They have given over 3 million dollars to our wounded vets.

Each run is different. They are between 10 and 12 miles long, and have 22-27 obstacles. There isn't much swimming, most of the running is just jogging from obstacle to obstacle. This one was in northern KY so it was fairly hilly, lots of terrain where we would be walking up muddy hills or sliding down muddy hills. There is a ton of crawling and climbing. Some of the obstacles are crawling through trenches, under barbed wire, climbing over 8 to 12 foot walls, monkey bars and swings over water, etc. You can get all the info and obstacles online at their website. They have over 30 obstacles they can use, so each course is different depending on your area. The last obstacle is running through a live field of hanging electric wires, that wasn't pleasant, but it's not too bad. Just feels like someone is punching you. Haha. Get a group of friends to do it! You'll have a great time, I promise you that.
