My arrows usually don’t touch anymore once they get outside of my quiver....

Thats kind of my design though, I switched to targets with multiple dots a couple years ago and use a different aiming point for every arrow. I shoot pretty often and damn arrows are expensive and I got tired of the whole spending $20 per week replacing robin hooded arrows mess.

My target dots are the size of a Pringle’s can (since that is what I use as a stencil) and I can put 9 out of 10 arrows on the dot out to around 50 yds. I don’t really shoot at a deer past 40 yds though to account for any inaccuracy due to adrenaline and imperfect stance and form that happens when you’re shooting out of a small elevated deer stand vs standing on flat open ground level with the target.

Like others said, I don't shoot at the same spot too often. For me 25 and under I don't aim for the same spot. Damaging arrows and vanes isn't worth it to me. I have had arrow touch out to 40 yards.

^THIS^ I learned this, this year. When I sighted in my bow, I shot one arrow. That arrow does the same thing every time unless the shooter makes a mistake or the arrow is damaged. Sota is Spot On. I shoot 1 arrow at the X now and I go with that.

35 yards I'm very comfortable sending an arrow down range at an animal. Past that, no more than 40,45. Just my preference!! Be safe folks!

there are shooters who can split arrows on a regular basis, however when i taught hunter ed we said if you can hid a saucer at 30yds you are good as the compaired with the kill zone size. if 30yds is your comfort range then stay with that as most deer are taken within 20yds.

I purposely shoot at different spots out to 80yds bc i was tired of replacing vanes. Ive been shooting since i was 10 though, im 31 now. But realistically i only shoot out to that distance just to make the 40 and under shots super easy. I kill most of my deer under 25 yds. My main concern is am i hitting where im aiming.
