Totally stinks! Found some great deer and they are off limits to everyone!

I really like the camera. Because I didn't want to spend much it doesn't have some nice features. I can't add a additional mic to it and it doesn't have night vision that the higher end models have but for the price and what I want to use it for it's great! I picked up the 8mb Flash model. I figured since I always have my computer I don't need to store much video on the camera. And I can always add additional memory sticks if I need more space. B***Buy had it on sale last week for $299 so I couldn't pass it up. Think it is actually still on sale.

Jim, don't beat yourself up like that. Your neck of the woods is full of 'off limits' deer.

I got invited to hunt an estate in Barrington Hills... beautiful spot that the deer were hammering because it bordered the Crook County Forest preserve on one side and the two neighbors had deer fencing all around their estates. It would have been deer slaying heaven. Of course there is no deer hunting allowed anywhere within the limits of Barrington Hills.

Keep up the good work with the video!

Ferg, nice work buddy! Getting that time of year to start getting pumped for fall. Gonna do my 1st filming of the year starting Monday. Hopefully find some for the hitlist this fall. I'd say Hitler is 125ish right now with some growing to do.

Hey Greg Miller! Was starting to wonder what happened to you. Haven't heard from you since the IL show! I think you are about right with that size. Since he is in a a no hunt area I am excited to get him on film for the next few years. Will be interesting to see how big he gets. Just hope the cars don't get him!

Peak- I am going to drive Crawford tonight on my way up north. You around for .25 shrimp tonight at Lumpy's?

Dubbs- I am glad you mentioned the spotting scope. I went and checked out mine and totally forgot that I had a window mount that came with it. That should work great for the camera!

Went looking for them again tonight but no luck. Just a few doe. Did get some good footage of them though and was able to use the window mount so it isn't all shaky like the last video! Will post that tomorrow!

Keep that place in mind next spring, it could make for some great shed hunting.

Well I guess I learned the number 1 rule when it comes to filming tonight! Driving the same area as I did last week I came to a field with 7 deer in it. I quickly parked the car opened the window to get ready to film and was swarmed by bugs. I fired up the thermocell and set up the camera and began enjoying the night. After about 20 minutes I realized I forgot to hit the record button. I missed some great fighting and potential love making!

I did manage to get some good footage however and will have it up on my youtube page shortly!

The window mount that I got with my spotting scope isn't that great I am finding out. I am going to look at purchasing another one that is a little more solid. But it is a huge improvement. When I get the video from tonight uploaded you will see a huge improvement in quality from my first video last week.

If you can find one that has the little handle to move the camera... go for it!

Mine has that little handle but where it connects the head to the base isn't very snug so it has a bunch of play in it that makes it wabble when recording. I have tried fixing it but haven't had any luck. So I will just go get a new one!

I am trying to upload my new video right now but says it will take over an hour!

that would be nice but don't think it would work since I already got busted by the cops just for shooting in my yard. I just finished uploading lastnights footage that turned out real well except for my stupidity in the beginning! You will see what I mean if you watch it!

Well I screwed and called myself on it! That footage would have been 10 times better then what I ended up with! The video quality has gotten way better then a week or so ago!

What a night of filming!!! I had 6 bucks within 20 yards of my car looking right at me. One buck actually ducked behind my car at about 5 yards!! I have about 20 minutes of film after editing it so I will have to upload it in several parts!!

After several hours of uploading I finally managed to get all the video up on my YouTube page! I think Parts 5 & 6 are my favorite!
