Ok. End of the world type landscape, zombies running ammuk. Do you want a hand gun with two clips, say 35rds, or do you want your bow? If you choose bow what do want and why? Arrows, quiver, tips, bow type, everything. Have fun.

    AA-12 FTW. I would use my lucky 4-10, and a M14.

I want my AR, my 8 shot Mossy, my Glock and my stash of ammo, but that was not the question. If you had the choice of a hand gun with two clips or any bow combo you wanted which would it be?

Hmm.. bow or handgun.... I'm kind of a sucky shot with my beretta 92. I'd probably be better off to crank up the poundage on my bowfishing rig, put a hex head blunt on the tip of carbon mag bowfishing arrow and pop the zombies in the noggin, reel my arrow back in and pop the next one. :D

    you guys are zombie amateurs.......

When Z-Day comes and you're living in the Zombie Post-Apocalyptic World there are thing you want and things you don't... me, I'm packin an AR setup for .22lr (that's right, 22 long rifle)... you can pack literally thousands of 22 rds on your body EASY... 22's are very quiet so as not to attract more zombies... also very cheap to stock pile ammo... you guys really need to work on your ZPAW strategies... cuz they are coming soon... probably democrats... ;)

Hey, I have a post apocalyptic plan. My sister and I had a list of people 'of value' and we were going to round them up and travel down to Cozumel. Take the island over and stay there. The people of value list needs to be updated. I guess SevenMag is now on it because he has lots of .22 ammo. :)

Of course, her and I also had a plan to become pirates and rape and pillage our way around the Caribbean. But she went off and got married and settled down. Hmmmph. We never even got to carry out our diabolical plan to hit all the 7-elevens and take two pennys from each 'take a penny/leave a penny' trays.

Wait, are these the classic slow-moving Night of the Living Dead Zombies? Or the new and improved fast-movers like in 28 Days Later?

    Slow- definitely bow.

Fast- gun and I'm still screwed!

The "fictitous" pump action crossbow is not so fictitious. There are many midevil designes that were in fact repeating cross bows. They are top loading and have a handle to help redraw them faster. These typically did not have as high a draw weight as the more typical crossbows of the time that had large cranks on them to help draw them.

As far as zombies go. Yes, a .22 lr semi auto with buku rounds would be the ticket. Restocking would be easy too as there are littlerally bazillions of them in every town in America.

Faster smarter zombies suck. The slower ones are funner to play with.

As far as my thread? I'd go with the pistol. Then make my way to the Police department hoping to stock up on more ammo! Zombie cops never use their guns.

local PD will be one of the WORST places to go as everyone else will be there... get away from crowds, head to the country, stay mobile... the island scenario has potential... but i'm sure everyone else will think of that as well... my plan, head north... the zombies may not be killed by the cold, but they WILL freeze solid enabling me to keep them clear of my area of operations... also, most northern climates have plenty of woods to build shelter from and to use to help fortify the defenses... the further from population centers you can get the better...
