I guess that the tornados a couple weeks ago where not enough! Our sirens are going off again! This time the funnel cloud is about 1 miles away from my house! Will mother nature ever stop the punishment on us?

I was at the Gym getting my Swell on (Jaegerbombs) and the power went out. WOrked out through the storm with the emergency lighting on and called Dubb's on my way home. While we were shooting the shizzit I got stuck with a powerline across the road a mile from my house. Upon getting home there are several houses with pieces of siding missing, some gutters and one house across the road is reported to have lost part of the roof.

Richie, you better get out and make sure the big boy made it through the storm since the area just got pounded!

It's been nuts here too Dawg, I hope it chills out for you pretty soon.

This has been hands down the most ridiculous weather Oklahoma has ever seen.
12 Nados on the ground in one day...
The biggest hail storm in Oklahoma's history, insurance claims will exceed $2 Billion by July 1st
11.6" of rain in a few hours on Monday, had to wear my duck waders to get across the street at the office.

This is why I'm now working for a roofing company Check this out! (Fast forward to 1:45 to get to the crazy stuff)

You guys in the mid west have some great deer hunting but along with it comes those horrendous storms. Hope everyone is safe throughout the storm season.

Are you seriously such an insensitive prick or did you just drink a little too much before posting? After what you just went through I would expect a response that showed a little empathy toward a fellow forum member where you could reference your town instead of making someone's loss seem minuscule and without merit compared to yours.

Sorry to hear about your town and prayers sent to those not as fortunate as you TeeJay.

I know the devastation all too well and survived in a house that was damaged in 1990 by the winds from an F5 Tornado right before it touched down. I also knew and hunted with a couple of great guys that lost their lives in a Tornado in 2004. I also spent an hour on the phone with my step brother in 2008 while he screamed and cried because the National Guard wouldn't let him into town to find his daughter and son-in-law when their town was leveled.

I also know that there is a kid waking up this morning knowing that the truck his father was going to pass along to him is now gone. While that might seem minuscule to you, I feel for a friend who now has to replace it out of pocket while watching all the sentimental value fade away. Some losses are greater than others TeeJay, guess it is just upsetting when some losses seem like no big deal;)

We had two rounds yesterday. First one in the AM dropped 1/2" of rain in 20 minutes. Got 40 mph gusts but not too bad. 2nd round in the evening started w/tornado 6 miles north, 60 mph winds and 2" in one hour. 3rd round hit 30 minutes later w/a tornado 8 miles south and another 1"+ in an hour. Surveyed the land today and have a few trees to cut up and one of the ponds the water is running over the top of the dam. Other than a wild ride for a while, we faired pretty dang good.

Thankfully, the really bad stuff missed us again.

I was planting in the garden as fast as I could in an effort to beat this latest rain. Got in 200 pumpkin seeds and 60 butternut seeds. Haven't been able to work the field because it's been so darn wet. We got 3" of rain last Saturday, then more rain during the week. When my dirt isn't mud... it's forms a hard crust. It's even growing a layer of algae on top. :(

    Sure beats tornados tho'.

I was wondering about you when I seen the news. Sorry about the trees, I know thats alot of lost revenue. If there is any upside to it there will be lots of construction going on for a good while. Chris

Umm no drinking. Been busy with the equipment. I apologize for my rant. I am dealing with a lot here. This area is completely tossed. I was down to one older ladies home today. I had to dig her neighbors (3 doors down btw) boat out of her entryway she flat Ass told me she didn't have any insurance nor did I care. I have just had so much on my plate. I feel for you and the truck man. If you nerd parts let me know I'm sure I can help.
