Good luck guys finding the wounded. Been pretty slow here. The orange army attacked today. I stayed in the woods for a couple of hours until the wind picked up.
i saw the arrow sticking out about 90% when i first hit him. it fell out about 100 yards away. had real good blood on it. look like some bubbles too. thought i might have clipped the top of one lung. we tracked it for around 400 yards and it never bed down which just shocked me.
Well fellas was in the right place tonight but it just didn't happen. Went out this afternoon and was goin alright then my buddy started working ground across the creek behind me so didn't expect much. Around 4 pm look down the draw facing me there stood a buck. Couldn't tell at first but quickly realized it was a big one. Worked his way little toward my stand but could tell the tractor was really putting him on edge. Came to about 80 yards and headed straight across the feild in front of me never any closer. Was pretty cool to see for sure but wish woulda happen with nothing else goin on around me to see how woulda played out. Thats the deer it was and he's definitely alot nicer in person ha.
Congrats on the doe! People tell me that is what a deer looks like. I'm still waiting to see one of those while in the stand!!
Ha yea hoping so, move my stand to where he's went twice in 12 hours. Will be a 20 yard shot if he plays along.
