With it cloudy we have about 15 min here in the timber.

 

Ha yea it's getting kinda dark out in the open quick too.

Squirrels can see just fine it appears.

 

Had a 90 inch 8 pointer chasing does and grunting like crazy. Fawns were still with the does

 

Had a crazy night. 2 shooters came in after hours as I was waiting for some deer to clear out the food plot. One let out a huge grunt was after I doe. Rut is starting!!

 

That's great news! I didn't see anything last week. But I feel like my stands are in good shape for the rut!

 

I'm going to try to get out after work this week.

 

Taking a couple hours off work to get out a couple times this week. Should be good

Wind is starting to lay a little. Pretty evening. Now if the deer will just come out......

Wind is wrong today for all of our stands. Just as I was getting ready to go trim some limbs off of the trees so the farmer can get under them I spotted this guy in the beans in the food plot. He is an "on the stand" decision. The trail cams always seem to have them a little smaller than they are in real life but this is a pic of him after the velvet came off. We seen him at 9:15 this morning just cruising. He made a scrape in his travels. Call me crazy but I'm picky about what to shoot.............

Have passed on 55 does and 4 small bucks so far

 

Warm today and like 70 but staying put. I had a huge buck come under me at 5:30 am but nothing since

 

Have not seen any chasing at all in northeastern ohio

 

Eating crisp apples and water

 

Has anybody harvested anything yet? My phone apps we affected for a while but all good now. Boy, Justin really shot a great buck! Congrats

 

Actually haven't been able to go out much lately. Been trying to get work done for the year. Should be able to start goin out more now though
