You missed the 80's man, if you had been a teenager in the hair band days then you would understand the lure of heavy metal to big haired girls who liked to rock out;) Nothing has ever been more fun than a bunch of horny girls in long sweaters and heels dragging you into a room;)

Something tells me I never would have never been able to keep up with her. Thanks for the post, Germ. I had almost forgot about Lita Ford. Haven't heard her name in years.

She looked good but how many albums did she help sell??? Hardly enough to be a top 5 frontperson.

Question...have ANY of you guys who are saying Nirvana wasn't very good...actually seem them in concert??? I doubt it.

Well...I HAVE been to a Nirvana show and it ranked as one of the very BEST concerts I have ever seen.

Some examples of other bands I have seen....

    Pearl Jam (twice)
    Guns n Roses (twice)
    Dave Mathews
    Metalica
    Kid Rock
    ACDC
    Rolling Stones
    Pink Floyd
    Sound Garden
    Red Hot Chili Peppers
    Bob Dyan
    Alman Bros

What about Scott Weiland? Love him or hate him, the guy was a hell of a frontman for both STP and Velvet Revolver. Never got to see him with VR but saw him twice "back in the day" with STP including when they headlined Family Values. Incredible shows.

Well to address the Cobain thing, did he influence/inspire others, sure. Let's be real here though, he didn't do anything that Neil Young didn't do before he was born and is still doing now. You wanna talk grunge you can't have that conversation without Neil being at the top of the page.
Lita Ford was never a front man/woman, her first band was the Runaways that had all of about three albums and wasn't the biggest name from that band, Joan Jett was and was wildly more sucessful as a solo artist.

    Top 5:
    Jagger
    Daltrey
    Billy Gibbons
    Tyler
    SRV

I first saw them around 94 or 95 at Rock Fest which is held in Chippewa Falls, WI. ****ie Betts was still with them at the time.

I saw them again at 10000 Lakes Festival in Detroit Lakes, MN a few years ago.

Both good shows...but the one at Rock Fest was REALLY good.

    S. Tyler
    .38 Special
    Marshall Tucker Band
    Def Lepard
