So much good music came from the 90's... Let's see your top 5, they don't necessarily have to be in order.
Oh man this is hard. If it's my list I'll take these 5 off the top of my head. 1. Bush 2. Motley Crew (are they considered 90's?) 3. The Gufs 4. Weezer 5. Green Day Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
Oh, lord....another thread that Caleb gets to answer Nirvana five times in a row. Pearl Jam Stone Temple Pilots Alice in Chains Rage Against the Machine Smashing Pumpkins ....and my list could go on and on. The 90's were the best years of my life.
-Guns N' Roses (I would put them in the 90's. Both the Use Your Illusions albums were from the early 90s and they both had some GREAT music). -STP -Pearl Jam -Red Hot Chili Peppers -Alice in Chains
Motley Crew and GNR are considered 80's bands. Grunge came along in the 90's and killed most hair bands. Pearl Jam, Sound Garden, Alice in Chains, Melvins, and Stone Temple Pilots.
HA HA HA....that's funny. Wilco is toilet. I'll give you The Pixies. I'll give you 5 bands and the album that proves it..... Alice In Chains - Jar of Flies STP - Core TOOL - Aenema Pearl Jam - Ten I'll throw one out there that I wouldn't consider top 5 to anybody but me but was listened to quite often in high school. The Refreshments - Fizzy Fuzzy Big & Buzzy
Yankee Foxtrot Hotel is a great album, but it was released in 2002, so I guess that doesn't count. Wilco could be replaced with Radiohead, Beck, My Bloody Valentine, Guided by Voices, The Dismemberment Plan, Modest Mouse, Beastie Boys, or even R.E.M.
GN'R can't be classified exclusively as an 80's band. Only Appetite and GN'R lies were released in the late 80's. Use Your Illusion I and II were released in the early 90's and the UYI tours were HUGE. They played for 28 straights months and over 190 shows during that tour and it was thanks to that tour that Guns became a world wide phenomenon. Not just another 80s metal band. It was that world wide tour that put GN'R on track to be eventually be in the same class as the Stones. But of course, that never happened.
I was going to put in there Radiohead, but they aren't up there for me. Respected yes. OK Computer was great, of course.
