Alright guys, just trying to lighten the load I carry in my pack to the field.... list your top 10 items in your bag....

Harness with linemans belt is worn.
Rope is tied to my stand.
Release and treestand strap are in the pants pockets.

All of our stands already have a safety strap and a rope at each location.

 

I hunt fairly close to base camp so I don't take a bag, the essentials go in my pockets.

1. Knife - so I can cut myself down if I'm hanging from my harness
2. Phone - so I can call someone to cut me down if I can't
3. Headlamp
4. Grunt call
5. Binoculars

I suppose it all depends how far, how remote, and how long you will be out. If I were walking a mile in to hunt I would bring a pack with more survival gear, fire starter, emergency blanket, etc.

Extra release, brilliant! Nice list except #10 is the P220: thought a pack of yotes was surrounding me in deep snow after dark couple years ago.
