sitting in the stand this morning at about 7:30 and one of them murderous raccoons thats been getting at the chickens came strolling by.....needless to say i sent one through him as well as getting my first bowkill!!!! its not what i was waiting for but i was excited....unfortunately he climbed straight into the top of a hollowed out dead tree and i had to sit and listen to him die and couldnt even recover, oh well the chickens are a bit safer i guess

Its always fun to release an arrow at a raccoon or coyote. Congratulations.

I can't see shooting a raccoon just for target practice. Killing one won't save the chickens. lol Actually, I enjoy seeing them on the rare occasions that I do.

Techically, furbearer season starts on Nov. 15... I know because I'm a trapper too.

I don't kill them with my bow I run them with hounds and they have to burn some of them calories off if they want to live

I'd bet it could go down as "nuisance to landowner" ... ;)

A buddy of mine taught me a valuable lesson once when it comes to shooting all sorts of vermin: SSS.

    Shoot, shovel and shut up.
