Here's the deal.....It's my first season out here, shooting a Diamond Razor. Love the bow, not the sight (came stocked). Fortunately the sight is all dialed in and I'm ready to go. I was shooting yesterday and was in poor lighting and wasn't really happy with it. IL season starts Oct 1, but I'm not going to be able to actually hunt until Oct 10. Is it too late for me to replace the sight, get it dialed in and be out there Oct 10? I would be able to shoot at least once, if not twice, before the big day to get the new sight dialed in......or do I go with what i have and change it up after the season?

I'm with Jeff, it shouldn't take long to get your pins dialed in again. If it was the rest, that would be a different story. I say go for it.

It's never to late littleshooter. I picked a new bow up at the shop and killed a P&Y size buck with it that evening. Good luck and have a great season.

I agree with all, above. Some people seem to have an old school mentality that you shouldn't "mess" with your bow, as the season aproaches. In reality, it's matter of making some pretty simple adjustments. If I were unhappy with my sights, I wouldn't hesitate to change them at any time.

Changing your sights will also improve your confidence. This is well worth the change, do it.

I would say it is NOT too late. Our season has been in for 2 weeks and I just ordered my new sight ( from here @ BH.C) last week. I feel that I can get it dialed in between hunts but if I don't feel confident I'll just slide my old sight back on until I do feel confident. One thing about business being slow here at my dealership is that I can usually shoot some during the day. Good luck.
