A couple of years ago, some of my buddies were telling me about a giant deer that they had on camera and showed me it and I was blown away. Long story short, the deer was poached which is sad. These pictures were a year before he was shot. I got to hold his shed this weekend. (My brother is the one in the picture). Scored 123", 12th largest or something ever found. The shed was the year before he was poached, he was larger in the pictures than the year after when he was killed. The estimated score with both the sheds the year before he was shot was around 260"in. The other deer in the picture scored 194", makes it look like a 150. A true Iowa GIANT!

Did the poacher get caught? I would think that it would be hard to conceal a deer like that.

Why does it seem these monster bucks almost always get killed by a poacher, a vehicle, or a disease... What a giant!

    Unreal.

Any details on the poaching? Did they catch the person responsible?
