The biggest thing for GB is if they have changed their identity on defense. If it is the same old bend but try not to break; but break way too often type of D then the pack will be a very good but probably 2nd tier team. If they can just get the Defense to pretty good they will be a very tough out come playoff time.
Greenbay will take this one - Seattle has lost ONCE at home the last 2 seasons (15-1)... But I think Rodgers and company takes it.
Exactly...if they can even be a top 20 D watchout....I think Top 15 guarantees them NFC North.....Top 10 guarantees home field advantage in playoffs if not through them...Top 5 I think they win SB.
IF Green Bay has a top 5 defense then they will go undefeated. I dont think people realize just how good this offense is. We were cruising to a 12-4 record last year before the injury. That was before Lacy broke out. If the Packers can field a #10-15 defense this year, they will make a deep playoff run. Im not saying #1 seed or Super Bowl, but it wont be 9-7 with a first round loss. I think Seattle is extremely overrated in the poplic opinion right now.
Man id love to see the Pack win this game, and I think they could, but at home and as we know that stadium with all it's piped in noise (we know those people don't bring it like they want us all to believe) that somehow the Hawks squeak it out... Hawks 27 Pack 24 < + >
This as well. I don't care if the Seattle defensive backs are mugging as long as the refs call it evenly. Ill tell you one thing, if the Seahawks play like they did in the Super Bowl, they will rack up 200 penalty yards.
Me too but I think they will be worse IMHO, even more so cause it seems as if every season rules get made toward favoring offenses <>< + ><>
Lol, you must not pay attention to the NFL much. The Packers went 15-1 with the 19th ranked scoring defense and 32nd ranked yardage defense 3 years ago. Since the Super Bowl win in 2010, they've had a top 5 offense every year. Im not saying they will go undefeated this year. Im saying if they have a TOP 5 DEFENSE (Which they wont), nobody will beat them. Unlike Buffalo, Green Bay can & will average 30+ ppg this year...LOL
The Bills suck....I am hoping the new owner will clean house.... again.... No one will EVER go undefeated again....ever.....
LMAO!!!!!! I was feelin good about the Packers, even had picked them in the bh.com pick'em until I heard the Packs' center is out and a first time rookie will be snapping the ball. makes me nervous with the loud 12th speaker.....err man? The packers are so much better than a .500 team.
Seattle and San Francisco had the blueprint for the "perfect" football team, one that could go undefeated. Its really this simple, offense gets you into the playoffs, defense wins you the Super Bowl. Just ask Tom Brady and Peyton Manning, its been a COMBINED 20 years since they have won a Super Bowl (mind boggling..eh?). Both Quarterbacks have had multiple record breaking MVP seasons in that time span only to lose to a team with a better defense then their own (Saints, Seahawks, Giants x2). The best way to win today is to stack your roster with proven veterans in the most important places (Ravens in 2013 are a perfect example) and then DRAFT high quality starters (Like Seattle has with Wilson, Sherman, Thomas). When you only have to pay three of the top 20 players IN THE ENTIRE NFL rookie contracts, your going to have a good time. Now that Seattle and San Francisco have had to spend the cash, their dominance wont be as great. Seattle lost some key contributors, and all of San Francisco's are in Jail.
As much as I hate to say this I think Seattle takes this. Packers secondary still looks like crap, there center is out and I just don't think they have it in them to win at Seattle at least not this time
