Best of luck, hope you have a blast and score big! Im not sure I could get out right now here IF our season started that early. The seed ticks are TERRABLE right now. Its a chalenge just putting game cams out without getting covered in them. Good luck!!

Ours has been in since the 1st. Too stinken hot to be in a tree and then tend to a dead animal if you manage to get one down. I might get out this evening as the temps have dropped since Earl rolled by. Good luck Va on a doe. We can shoot either buck or doe.

Not sure what is going on lately, but even driving through Quantico at what are normally peak hours... I am not seeing even the normal plethora of does.

Toying with scouting either tomorrow or Monday a.m...

New pass procedures for Quantico - all call in now, no lines.

And Brett... I can reserve for you as far as I was able to cipher from the instructions, so it would be advisable to give me your number when you get it... As a green I get first time choices.

You have to watch the video again, and even if you qual'd for mainside last year, you have to redo it again. They were their normal sweet tempered selves yesterday. I don't get it, they are hired because of the hunters on Quantico, and you would think they were doing us a favor being there. I have half a mind to say something to the base CO next time I see him, its unsat they way they treat folks.

So we have to "call in" to reserve a pass then print it off on a computer or something? Then as we exit the woods we call a line and enter our pass number to let them know we are off base?

Sean, I will give you my number.

Some of the people that work there are something else. I usually mind my own business but when I get in a mood and they have something smart to say, they usually do not like the outcome after they get verbally thrashed. :)

One of the reasons I scout in so many places and have tons of back ups spots is because I have the lowest pass, brown. I go and kill deer in places noone else wants to hunt! LOL.

yeah, you call in - and there are codes for the TA's... At each of the windows is a card swipe and a little thermal printer... One pass for you, one goes in the box one is a parking pass. End of the day, you swipe in and put your print in the box.

I felt really bad for the one nice old guy there, the one kid who I find to be a jackass was trying to teach him how to use the computer. The older gent wasn't getting it and the kid was being an ass. When I was a kid, if I had done that - I would never have heard my dad coming...but I would have seen him standing over me when my head cleared after getting knocked on my ass.

Sean, I haven't gone by the base yet. In your opinion do you think this new system will be good or a real "goat screw"? Is it still $20.00 for a pass?
