So I was hoping to put down a buck today on my birthday but was unsuccessful, a mid day camera pull/scouting trip gave me an amazing spot. It's the corner of a corn field and it is destroyed with rubs, based off the pictures I have from earlier this year it is either Lucky 7 or Chip which are my two target bucks for this property. Was going to try to sneak out there tonight but I'm going to wait for the morning [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Do you guys think I should drag some doe in heat scent into there or spray some young buck scent? Or just go on undetected ?

hmmmm if you think they are already using the area semi-consistently, scent probably isn't necessary. But it probably wouldn't hurt.

I wouldn't use any. Where i used to hunt if you came across that many rubs in an area it was usually near his bed. I would be afraid of spooking him out if i used scent.

Being your first sit in that spot I wouldn't bother with any fancy scent stuff. Looks like there is some pretty good traffic going through there and like dbo said, that may be close to their bed. I would be as stealthy as possible hunting that spot especially at first. Good luck!! Hope you see one of those shooters!
