My wife and I have made many sacrifices to get here. I've busted my a$$. Worked all the overtime I could get. Took on extras tasks at work to move up. Lived frugal. Drove crap cars. Drank cheap beer. Took no vacations. ETC. ETC. ETC. Tomorrow it all pays off. We take possession of our cabin on our land in the Northwoods. This is my life's dream. So enough of my chest beating. Wish us luck as we start our new endeavor. The car and trailer are packed and we leave first thing tomorrow for the 3 hour drive north so that we may accept the keys. For all of you that read this. Caulk one up for the working man and the American dream. I'm here to tell you first hand that if you have a dream and are willing to actually work for it. It CAN and WILL happen.
Congrats dude and enjoy it. I'm going to make the trip over this fall to have a Leinies or three with you.
Congrats to you and your wife, Brad! You are a heck of a guy (for a communist ) I still laugh about that :D You guys deserve it ... looking forward to hearing about your life there!

The entire thread that I have been updating is here in the land management section giving all the details. http://forums.bowhunting.com/showthread.php?28445-My-80-acres-of-hunting-land-thread It's right where Lincoln, Langlade and Marathon County all come together. It's just a little west of Antigo.
So you will be hunting in unit 46???? I hunt just a few miles south of you in 62A. I went to high school in Wittenberg.
Yes, 46. So you are a Nueske's man I take it? Love their bacon. How did you end up moving south to Waukesha?
Thanks Joe. As you might guess you probably won't be seeing me out a Mauthe anymore during gun season.
Two of my brothers worked for Nueske's Meats during the winters many moons ago. They were paid in bacon. No joke. I went to school with the Nueske's kids. I have lived all over the state. Price County, Marathon county, Portage county, Taylor county, Waukesha county. Ive worked for a few companins over the years and was a contrator for a while. I still do all my hunting in Marathon and Portage County.
Right on Brad!! It's easier to whine and say negative **** then actually go all In and work for something. Happy for ya bud!
