Tomorrow and Thursday should be the perfect days to hunt. A lot of things coming together for me here. New moon is tomorrow, so the deer should be moving at light pretty good. There are also some storms moving in during the afternoon tomorrow, so barometric pressure will be dropping tomorrow morning. I think dropping pressure makes just about all things move around. Those are supposed to end during the night, with Thursday being partly cloudy and dry.

On Thursday, there's also going to be a cold front hitting here. I think it's going to be the coldest day of the season so far. That coupled with the moon, and the rut starting to get ramped up should make for a great day. The wind will be back to the NNW on Thursday, but I think I'm going to sit below the bed area with some doe estrus out. I think I'll be doing some rattling tomorrow and a bit more calling than usually. Hoping to rustle up a shooter.

How's it look in your neck of the woods?

Didn't make it out.. Girlfriend turned the alarm off, said "honey, wake up" and went back to bed. Apparently I went "mmmemuuh". I remember nothing... lol. Cold snap hits tonight, so I think I'm ok. I'll go do some shopping today instead. Grab some colder weather stuff.

I'm thinking the same things you have been about the next couple of days. I really think this should snap the pre-rut ealry rut into full swing. I went out last night in 45 mph winds and saw 7 does and a little basket rack grunting like crazy messing with the does. I think over the next 4 or 5 days some big boys will be dropping

The NW winds kill me as I have to enter my property from the west and my two best stands are facing east and thats where teh deer com from. Waiting for another south or east wind.

Going to try to make it out tomorrow AM and get to work around 8:30 or so. Would prefer to hit it in the PM, but have to work until 9 PM. Hopefully, will make it out Friday after work 'cause the weekend is not lookin' good with family obligations.
