As many of you know, the first deer of the year is down for the Bowhunting.com Staff. Todd managed to put a great shot on a big Wisconsin doe on Saturday evening before the heavy rains moved in. Our buddy Josh Fletcher was able to capture it all on film so you can all enjoy it for yourselves! http://www.bowhunting.com/gallery/12/media/183/todds-2008-wisconsin-doe.aspx Enjoy!
Try it again and let me know if it works. If not, click on the VIDEOS link at the top and then click on "Todd's 2008 Wisconsin Doe". We were doing some updates to the video player so it may have been down for a bit.
Thanks everyone - we're gonna do our best to keep putting videos up at quickly as possible as our season progresses. Kind of a "real-time" video blog type thing. Josh was filming with a GL2 which is why the video got so dark/fuzzy there at the end. I had to pump the brightness and contrast WAY up so you could even make anything out. Next time Todd and Josh will remember to bring the camera light with, right guys???? :D After the season is over we're going to put together a full-length DVD with our hunts from the past two years as well as some hunts from our friends and include it with every Bowhunting.com order that goes out.
That is an awsome idea JZ! You should include some member hunts. Know lots of guys on the forums that have hunts filmed.
Congrats again also Todd!!!! ? for you just as the second deer walked in you were talking about you guys giving true reviews on equipment did you have some kind of equipment failuar with the first one or did she just jump the string?? Walt
Wally - she jumped the string BAD on that shot. I was gonna use some more of the footage they have of the doe walking in, but it was going to make the video too long. She knew something was up and she was walking on pins and needles. When that bow went off she hit the ground and get the heck out of there before the arrow could do any damage.
