That is what I'm talking about dnoodles, thanks for wrapping that up for me. I'm not talking about shooting big bucks, hunting state land, too much video of Todd, blah blah blah. We all are the best hunters in the world and make the best shots ever! This forum has gone down hill in the last couple years, and that's nothing against BH.com. Can't even post on here anymore cause someone is always bigger, faster and stronger! I would like to see your video's if you think you can pull off what he did. I'm just congratulating the man, and you guys turn it all weird...and what does "I now have more questions for Todd" even mean?
People on this forum are a little too sensitive these days. When did you ever see someone say they were bigger, faster, stronger or anything to that extent? We all like the Bowhunt or Die videos, no one is contesting this. Regular guys getting it done across the country, while filming, is what draws people to this show. But everybody on this forum has the right to their opinion and to question Todd's shot choice or anything else that they don't like. We can't critique a show to possibly make it better? Please..
Watch the end of the show and there's a clip of Todd on the phone with someone. Watch it and you'll see.
Yup.....my comment was meant to mean for everyone to relax that you just made a joke about his phone comment
I'm pretty sure false idolatry is a sin, so I'll go forward keeping that in mind - How many (non-BHOD) hunts do you see where the hunter has a (sometimes more than 1) dedicated cameraman, and still all they get is a crappy obscured kill shot and nothing else? No walk in, no follow up, no blood trailing. Graf did all that by himself. Really astounding.
I have taken a few shots I wish I could take back. Especially when I was just starting out. I shot a doe that was facing me at 57 yards and hit her in the butt-ox. That was a long trail job through a SC swamp requiring a follow up shot at 1 AM. That was 24 years ago but I learned a lot that night.
All BS aside I have been laid up since the middle of November & have since watched a TON of bowhunting shows on TV & have seen a lot of those guys make bad/questionable shots & show no remorse or even mention the "bad" shot. The ones that do mention it are typically cocky & make some stupid remark about the "huge wound channel there broad head creates" so a poor shot doesn't matter. (Hank Parker). When Todd shot the first deer in the butt you could tell he was truly bothered & the first thing he did was look @ the camera & admit what he had done. You don't see that very often anymore. I'm honestly sick of watching hunting shows where the guy "spines" a deer & then jumps around in the stand pumping his fist, high diving the camera man & yelling "I smoked him"! I was flipping channels the other night and go to the outdoor channel right when a guy was going to shoot a buck with his bow. so i sat and watched the shot. The guy shoots low but the deer jumps string and gets low before he jumps up and basically lowered himself into the arrow which made a perfect hit for the guy. otherwise the dip**** would have missed. He was all like man i made great shot on him, smoked that big buck yada yada. never saying that he meant to aim low. If the deer never moved he would have missed by like-6 inches.
