    A fridge in cabin 15
    Water hearter at cabin 17
Control Board for the septic tank for cabins 8-11
and a tree came down between cabin 11 & the lake blocking their access...

.... and I thought I was going to have a day to do some putsy stuff!

At least I get to climb a tree with my climbing sticks and saftey harness (and a chainsaw).

    Is it fall yet?!?

Admit it. Running a resort is mostly sitting around campfires. ;-)

Some guys get all the fun and have all the breaks. Move the fridge from Cabin 17 into 15. Introduce cabin 17 residents to cabin 15 and move them into gether in 15. Now all you have to worry about is wife swapping and the tree.

Well things could aways be worse.

Your resort could be on fire and burning to the ground because you did not cut any firebreaks around it, because you preferred the idyllic up-to-the-forest look.

If its not burning, then I'd say you had a good day.

Hey, if it burned down, I would not feel sorry for him either. It would be his fault for not cutting the firebreaks.

    :D

Dont know everyone on here to well yet, but if you own this resort, and you have insurance covering a fire. I think you would make out pretty good and get to start over somewere new or do something else. Just saying.

Oh Shoobee, let me educate you a bit on living in the woods. First off, "fire breaks" are pretty much worthless in a full on forrest fire since they create their own weather conditions and can send burning debris for 100s or 1000s of yards in the air. Also, clearcutting woodlands is horrible for land use and the overall ecology of the forrest.

The only true fire prevention that works for asset protection is sprinkler systems. These systems mimic a 2-3" rainfall for the covered area and the moisture will prevent burning for more than a week. My dad is having a system installed next week for his house. If you would like more information go here--> http://www.wildfiresprinkler.com/

Now, I've tried time and time again, to give you the benefit of the doubt Shoobee. However, since you joined you have posted incorrect information, completely irrelevant information, and even admitted that if given the chance you would poach a protected animal and "remove your bullet"....

    Call it a "cycle"...
Call it "reaping what you sow"...
    Call it "semantics"....

In any case I'm done with you, good bye.

I stayed at a northern Minnesota resport when I was younger. Same rash of happenings, the owners freezer went out and hot water heater, but both in his home.....my dad being the good fellow he was said if you get me the parts, I'll fix it all for you for no cost at all. Resort owner was happy, Dad felt he had done his good deed. Later that afternoon, me, sis and dad went up to see if all was working well, which it was, then we wanted to buy 3 ice cream bars too.......we were 10 cents short to get all three........and that SOB $#$#@^$#@^$#^@$ resort owner refused to let us get the third ice cream bar even though my dad saved him 200 bucks on a weekend service call.

Fitz.dont ever be that guy........................I guess I'm still bitter.
