It's nice to see some still coach for the love of the game. Brady Hoke has done nothing but impress me these past few days.

What impress me most was how he was hired.

David Brandon "I would like to offer you the job at MI"

    Brady Hoke "I accept"

David Brandon "I have not offered you any money yet"

    Brady Hoke "I don't care"

Michigan football is back, at least in spirit!!!!

Pretty cool way to start. He is going to have a rough start though just in what RR left him.

Clue me in. I presume Hoke is going back to the pro style offense?

Based on recent history (avg. salaries).....I'd have said "I'll take it" (in his shoes), too.

    Refreshing, though.

Well I'm quite certain he knew Michigan would be paying him more than San Diego St.

Thats a love for football, but until you start consistently beating the gophers in football I wont respect Michigan. Wait.....

hmmmmm Harbraugh and Miles werent' interested so we'll settle for you.

After I couldnt' get who I wanted to ahead of you

    Duh!

    Duh X2

Just another case of a program settling for who would take the job after the ones who they really wanted said thanks but no thanks. I'm not jumping up and down if I'm a Michigan fan.

What if Brandon said the deal was for 3 years and 31,000 a year. if he made them contend for the big 10 title in that time they would discuss a raise...if he accepted then, i would be impressed. I am sure he knew the money he was going to receive would feed his family.

I know what you meant Germ, just messing around a little bit...sort of.

So what should of Michigan done? Sometimes things don't work out in the coaching world. Someone has to coach the team so they got the best guy they could in their opinion.

Not with Denard, run a spread like tressel did with Troy Smith in Ohio. We will get back to a pro stlye offense.

Brandon interviewed at least 6 coaches, we all knew where Harbaugh was going, Les was not even offered the job.

I agree, but it still is what it is.

I still say they should have taken a shot at Lou Holtz:lmao:
