Well, I had a short day at work and decided to go chase some rabbits, stumps and take some pics along the way! I got to the spot where I wanted to go, this was where I killed my spring turkey and my Buck this past season. best part I killed them both about 30 yards form each other on the same ridge! I was on a mission! Like I said earlier, today was a good day! This was on the way in, I walked for about 20 minutes stumpin along the way then stopped to take this pic, the far ridge is where I was headed! On my way in... had to be careful what I was shootin' at, the snow was deep!
Cool old stump frozen in a stream! Nope, the rub on the bottom of the tree to the left of my arrow wasn't my mission......
I thought I'd try a little action shot here....Notice the black spot in the middle of the pic.... I couldn't tell ya the yardage....but there were a few limbs in the way. Zoomed in a bit...
A little closer... Threaded the needle but "barely" missed, notice the hole in the snow to the left of the stump!
Yep, I see It now!! Good old stumping!! It's kinda funny, we were just talking about that yesterday.:d That's good shooting Joe, you didn't miss by much!!
Middle of the woods on a ridge, weird place for a fenceline! I did find a old beat up cow skull here a while back, I pulled out a few teeth from it! Nope, thats not the one I'm looking for.... nice one though!
The best practice there is, walking thru the woods picking out old beat up stumps, leaves or even blades of grass and takin' your best shot, nothing like it, to much FUN!
Sounds like fun, but I think the neighbors from the apartmetn bldg. would get upset with me. lol. Man, we need some land.
A little homemade flu flu action! The best part, this feather used to belong to a big ole' Tom that flew these parts not to long ago, only to fly again on one of my arrows!! I made this flu flu from a wing feather from the Tom I killed on this same ridge last spring! ANOTHER miss!
Alright then, now for the reason I went back to the ridge..... hmmmm..... .....I know its gotta be around here somewhere....
